The world of science is often misunderstood. It is a way of questioning the world around us to get at the underlying laws and truths of the universe. This year, we have a full itinerary to explore. I invite you to look over the Pacing Guide and Helpful Links sections so you can be informed of your students progress. You can email me at any time using the link above.
Who is Jacob Berg?
I graduated from Chugiak High School in 1999 in the top 10% of my class. I went on to study at Willamette University where I majored in Politics and Biology and minored in English. My passions are marine biology and I have worked for 11 years with Kenai Fjords Tours in Seward, AK helping show the world the marine life of Alaska. The picture on the left shows a negative interaction between me and a glaucous winged gull's excretory system, but I have several positive stories about marine life to share as well.
I became a teacher in 2012 and taught 8th grade science at Mears for one semester and then transferred to Clark where I am beginning my 3rd full year. I believe that every student has the potential to be better than the generation before them. I want to inspire the future lawyers, doctors, chefs, basketball stars, etc. to be positive forces for worldly change. |
